What does this painting mean to me?
This painting marks the journey of finding and accepting my own sexuality. Up until I was 21, I thought I was straight and I lerived my life as a straight woman. However, slowly but surely, and girl-crushes after girl-crushes I realised that I wasn’t actually straight. This piece marks a point in my journey where I have finally accepted the fact that I am queer to the full extent. I wanted to put it out there and scream it from the roof tops, so to speak. I hope that this painting has a similarly comforting effect on you or your loved one.
