Why should you hang the portrait of a stranger?

Has this question ever occurred to you? It seems weird at first, but I’ll tell you why you should absolutely hang a portrait of a stranger in your home. Portraits are more than an image of a person. They are always pieces of interpretation, of expression. When I painted “Girl in Colour”, I didn’t know who she was, I had never met her. However, yesterday, I had a few hours free and I felt like it might be good to just do it. Just get back into it. So, I thought, acrylics might be a good way to get my groove back.

Wrong.

I hate the painting.
